What is a Riser Pole Arrester
Riser pole arrester is a kind of arrester unique to some countries in North America, it belongs to but is superior to Heavy duty class arrester (10kA), the main manifestation is that the discharge voltage is lower than the
standard heavy duty arrester. For IEC standard arresters, the riser pole arrester is very close to the IEC class 2 Arrester. Riser pole surge arresters are mainly use for protect underground distribution systems.
